Description
Cornwall Island is a striking, eye-catching dahlia known for its vibrant “hot purple” blooms. The recurved petals are split at the ends, creating a unique, textured “fimbriata” or starburst effect. It is a highly productive and exceptionally tall variety that adds rich, cool-toned colour to the garden from mid-summer until the first autumn frosts.

- Plant Height: 100 – 150 cm (very tall, requires staking)
- Form: Fimbriata
- Sunlight: Full sun (Prefers a bright, sheltered spot with 6+ hours of daily light)
- Soil: Fertile, humus-rich, well-draining soil
- Planting Window: Plant out from September to November once spring frosts have fully cleared.
NOTE: this is a variety that we will not be continuing to grow as a cut flower, so won’t be offering tubers of this in coming years.
